The Creative Artist Ali Chahrour

Born in Beirut in 1975, Ali Chahrour lived between Qantari and Hamra.
From a young age, he was captivated by the beauty of art, embracing its world with endless passion.

At the age of 14, he created his first artwork — a church-themed painting for a church in the Badaro area.
At 17, his first handwritten work was published in Majallat Bila Houdoud (Unlimited Magazine).
He has held many important exhibitions, painting portraits of writers and poets.
A major source of his inspiration has always been the works of Gibran Khalil Gibran.

By 19, he studied at the House of World Artists, mastering fundamental artistic techniques.
At 22, he painted official portraits and received commendations from the President of the Lebanese Republic and the Director of Internal Security Forces, later working within the Internal Security Forces Art Division.

By the age of 25, he had participated in over 20 group exhibitions and held 4 solo exhibitions, producing more than 300 paintings.

Among his achievements, he participated in exhibitions held at the Lebanese Parliament under the patronage of Speaker Nabih Berri, and at events attended by prime ministers and ministers.

He painted more than 60 renowned figures, including poets and dignitaries, gaining recognition for his exceptional talent.
He showcased paintings that depicted Lebanon’s heritage sites, castles, and historical regions with a unique personal style, capturing the natural beauty of Lebanon and its ancient houses and traditions.

In Hamra, he presented a special exhibition dedicated to the ancient heritage of Lebanon, allowing visitors to contemplate the depth of Lebanon’s poetic and artistic traditions.
Ali Chahrour has received over 150 certificates of appreciation and gratitude throughout his career.

His name is well-known among cultural institutions, magazines, and the media.

One can confidently say that Ali Chahrour is a self-made artist who forged his path with perseverance and dedication.
He has touched the hearts of many with his unique artistic spirit — a true miracle seen through the eyes of those who admire the essence of art.

In addition, he held four solo exhibitions, the latest titled “Between the Past and the Present”, focusing on the heritage, traditions, and crafts of Lebanon.
